The Guilford County Republican Party Congratulates Michael Logan

The Guilford County Republican Party (GCRP) congratulates Michael Logan for being seated as the District 3 Representative on the Guilford County Board of Education (Board).

The GCRP has consistently followed both the letter and the spirit of the laws established for filling vacancies on local boards and commissions. Mr. Logan was slated to be seated shortly after Pat Tillman vacated the District 3 seat in December of 2022.

GCRP Chairman Chris Meadows stated, “After 9 months of orchestrated obstructions from the Democrat-majority Board, the rightful and duly nominated person has finally been seated to the Board of Education District 3. The voters and residents of District 3 now have lawful representation.”

Anita Sharpe, a former member of the Guilford County Board of Education, administered Mr. Logan’s oath of office. In Ms. Sharpe’s own words, “Michael will give his heart and soul for this system as some of us have done for a number of years."

Michael Logan is an experienced educator with 26 years of service to Guilford County Schools (GCS). Mr. Logan has impacted the lives of over 2,500 students and their families through his CTE classes and after-school activities. As an educator, Mr. Logan will be a champion for teachers, and as a parent of a GCS graduate, Mr. Logan will support parental involvement. His first-hand understanding of the inner workings of GCS will be invaluable to the Board and to the success of Guilford County Schools.

Chairman Chris Meadows added, “Michael Logan has handled the delays with professionalism and integrity. We have full confidence in Mr. Logan to represent the citizens of District 3 well.”
